OF THE STAR.
PROXIMA CENTAURI

Description
ã…¤Proxima Centauri is a red dwarf and flare star which is a part of the famous triple-star system called Alpha Centauri in Centaurus constellation, as it becoming the third member; the other two stars, Alpha Centauri A and B, are similar to the Sun.

ã…¤At 4.2 light years away from Earth, Proxima Centauri is the nearest star to the sun, but as it is so small and dim it cannot be viewed with the naked eye. Proxima Centauri is extremely distant from its two companions, orbiting them at a distance of around 1.2 trillion miles (1.9 trillion km).
some facts:
- As a flare star, the star could gone unpredictable dramatic increases in brightness for a few minutes.
- Red dwarf is the most common, coolest, smallest, and long-lived star in the universe. It takes up to trillion years for red dwarf to reach their final stage.

ã…¤While stars like Sun exist for a few billion years, red dwarfs like Proxima Centauri burn their fuel at a much lower rate and can therefore exist far longer.

ã…¤The star posesses two cold dust belts and two exoplanets named Proxima Centauri b / Proxima b and Proxima Centauri d. There is a rumored/candidate one named Proxima Centauri c.
